Q: Is there an extra delivery or setup charge for Karaoke rental?
A: There is a small delivery/setup fee for our karaoke rental. This ensures that your system is set up quickly and correctly, is tested, and is ready to go. However, you can choose to pickup, setup, and return the equipment yourself to avoid a delivery charge.
Q: Do I need to supply anything for my Karaoke event?
A: All we need from you is sufficient electrical power, a strong Wi-Fi connection, and some fun people ready to sing!
Please be sure to check the strength of your WiFi signal at the very same location where your karaoke system will be set up. For example, if your karaoke will be set up on a back porch or deck, please test the connection there, not inside your home. Sometimes it may be necessary to move your router closer to the karaoke area. We must be able to connect our karoake system to your wireless network for the songs to stream.
Q: How many songs are included?
A: There are thousands of songs available with our karaoke rental. New songs, as well as some classics, are continually being added every day.
Q: Do you provide song booklets?
A: Because the songs are constantly updating every single day, the song list is best located online. However, users can more quickly and easily search on the karaoke system itself for immediate results. With our karaoke system, there's no need to rifle through pages and pages of booklets, use separate song lists, or fill out slips of paper. Just step up to the mic, search for your song, and hit play!
Q: Does your karaoke include songs with inappropriate lyrics?
A: Because of the times we live in, all karaoke systems now include rap, hip-hop, and even some rock songs with age-sensitive lyrics. We recommend appointing an adult to oversee users' song choices.
Q: I'm not sure of the exact name of the song I'm thinking of. How can I find it?
A: While you can search for songs by title, we recommend searching by artist. This method has less chance of spelling errors and also makes it quicker to see if your song is even available... rather than attempting several guesses of a song's exact name.
Q: Can I download a song that isn't included?
A: Yes. Even though our karaoke system includes THE most popular, and most often searched, karaoke songs available, we also include those "less popular" songs for immediate download as 5 FREE Song Credits, which we've already purchased ahead of time. If you find your song, but a gold "lock" appears next to it, simply tap "Buy" and the song will download for you to use. We have already paid for it!
Q: What if we run out of FREE song credits and want more?
A: As highly unlikely as that is, you can contact us and we can remotely add more credits to be billed to you. Credits are available in packs of 5, 10, 25, and 50.
Q: Is there a TV monitor to show the words for me to follow along?
A: Your monitor is the same iPad screen that you use for searching and starting your songs. Once you start playing your song, the words will appear and highlight as you sing along. It's really that simple!
Q: How do I know whether to rent the "Do-It-Yourself" option, or the "Delivery & Setup" option?
A: We have provided very simple, step-by-step video on our Karaoke page so that most anyone can assemble and operate our karaoke system without our assistance. However, if you are NOT at all knowledgeable with audio equipment, we STRONGLY recommend that you have us deliver and set up your karaoke rental. Inexperienced experimentation with the controls and settings can cause very annoying feedback, distortion, as well as possible permanent damage to our equipment. You may even want to consider appointing a knowledgeable guest to oversee the karaoke system during your event, so that other guests don't inadvertently change the settings and cause undesirable results.
Please be sure to carefully review both our Karaoke Handouts, as well as our How-To videos, before attempting to set up and/or operate the equipment. We check our equipment thoroughly before every rental to ensure that everything is functioning properly. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for Do-It-Yourself rental mishaps that fail to satisfy inexperienced users.
